Saturday morning Wheel Throwing

This introductory wheel throwing workshop is perfect for anyone curious about working with clay and ready to get their hands dirty. In a relaxed and supportive environment, you’ll be guided through the essential techniques of wheel-thrown pottery—from preparing and centering clay to shaping, trimming, and glazing your finished work. Over the course of the workshop, you’ll create a personal set of up to six ceramic pieces, experiencing the full making process from start to finish while building confidence at the wheel. Participants are also welcome to visit the studio outside of class time to practice independently during their availability. These practice sessions are for skill-building only, and pieces made during this time are not kept or fired. What’s included: • All materials, glazes, and kiln firings • One 2-hour session per week for 6 weeks • Studio access for independent practice, arranged in advance with the instructor and subject to studio capacity • Suitable for adults and mature teenagers (ages 15+) • No prior experience needed—beginners welcome
